Silence is GOLDEN!

Silence is the BEST POLICY. Some might agree.

Sometimes, words are better left unspoken. We uttered those hurtful words out of concern, when we were angry or when we react to things, although we have zero intention of hurting others.

As a result, people got hurt, emotionally or mentally.

Say, we were nagged constantly, some even 24 hours a day by overly concerned parents. Yea, I know that feel. It's suck to be nagged. We exploded when we could not take anymore nags from them. We rebuked them back, challenged their authority. However, do we intent to hurt their feeling?

NO! It's because when it goes beyond the limit we can hold, we too exploded, the feelings we been holding burst into million pieces. And we start rebuking them. But it always ended up both parties getting hurt emotionally. Parents especially mothers would cry, and, when we saw them bursting into tears, we would feel guilty too. It's all because of the words that we uttered, even though there was no intention of hurting them.

So. don't you think it's sometimes best to keep our mouth shut and let them nag. I know it's near impossible but we wouldn't know if you don't try, don't we? Just remember, SILENCE IS GOLDEN.

Sometimes, we would see our friends doing the action that are not right. Out of concern, we might spew out the words again. We never learnt, did we? Although it is not right for us to not point out their wrongs, but, for the sake of friendship, saving our asses, we have to stay put and close eyes unless it is really necessary for us to step in.

So you are getting my points. Yeah, the emphasis is stay silence unless necessary to rebuke. Anyway, I don't think I am making sense right now with my brain almost dead.

Trekking in the Jungles of Shangri-La (5th April 2011 - 6th April 2011)

Find this picture familiar? It was back in Shangri-La, Tibet. We were on our 2D1N Forest Conservation Trek (5th April - 6th April 2011) as a part of our Operation Shangri-La. Embracing the freezing weather, hot sun, harsh terrains and alien climates, we embarked on our journey into unknown. The trek drained every possible life force outta me.

Yeah, it was really draining. I almost gave up on this trek.

But, miracle awaits those who persevered. Together with Pearlyn, Shimin, Enqi, we formed a awesome human train family me being the head of them. After talking, chatting and crapping with my HTF, the journey seems much more easier and well, the hectic journey became a laughter filled journey. The miracle; the friendship, support and encouragement of one another, everything became possible.

The trek was, without a doubt, a successful journey. We reached the allocated campsite in the evening, settled there for a night. Chatting under the starry sky, with a campfire accompanying us, heart to heart talk sessions with friends, playing truth or dare in the tent and laughing out like innocent babies.

And then, came midnight, we all made our way back to our tents. Chatted with Edwin for a while and then said good night. There we retreated into our dreamland in the huge field surrounded by mountains and (maybe even werewolves?). And I night with the yaks were spent. MOOOOOO~

Dear Pearlyn, today is the day that you received the name "Human Alarm Clcok" for literally waking up the whole camp with your voice. Memories, heh.

I realised a thing for sure. Our laughter, it was pure, innocent and sincere during our stay at the village. Oh, how I miss those times.

The trek/trip, it was a completely awesome, memorable. If there will be another chance, well, of course. I won't be hesitate to go back. Of course, that place held many memories.

The Kind of Friend

How many types of friend are there?

Well, I ain't sure. There may be countless types of friend out in the world.

But, one thing for sure. I want to be a a type of friend that is a driving force behind every success and laughter of those friends I care and love about. Be it appreciated or not.

Well, you might say I am being ironic, because I once used to emphasize about helping people I care about and not getting appreciated. Some mother fucker called me a whining pussy for complaining about not being appreciated.

My stance, if they are true friends, why worry about not being appreciated? As long as they know I am always there for them and I can rely on them to bitch about my troubles to, what's the worry. I know I am being appreciated.

Of course, I thank God, Buddha or heavenly beings for giving me such friends, whom I can be true to myself with them around. 'Nuff said.

"If I see my buddies happy and feeling like a winner, I am ten times happier." "If I can make them laugh and smile when they are with me, the feeling is really heartwarming." "I can make them feel happy and comfortable with you around." "I can get them to confide their troubles and stories with me."

You know, that kind of friend I wanna be.

What about you, my friend?
